About the Position
We are seeking experienced Mindfulness Coaches to support a comprehensive Human Performance and Holistic Health & Fitness program serving Air Force personnel. The Mindfulness Coach will support cognitive resilience, mindfulness, stress management, mental performance, and overall non-physical aspects of human performance.
The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary Human Performance team and provide practical, mission-focused guidance to personnel operating in high-tempo and demanding environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide mindfulness and mental-performance coaching to individual and group participants.
  • Conduct Human Performance evaluations and identify relevant performance and resilience needs.
  • Develop and deliver mindfulness and performance-enhancement sessions.
  • Support cognitive resilience, stress management, decision-making under stress, and fatigue-management objectives.
  • Develop individualized guidance appropriate to different occupational and mission requirements.
  • Provide practical techniques that personnel can continue independently when deployed or operating without direct contractor support.
  • Participate in unit training and Human Performance activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments, coaching sessions, participant activities, and outcomes.
  • Prepare monthly performance reports and documentation.
  • Collaborate with Athletic Trainers and Functional Strength Coaches as part of an integrated Human Performance program.
  • Participate in meetings, professional development, training, and program coordination.
  • Work effectively in field environments and under changing operational requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology or Counseling.
  • Applicable NBCC accreditation/qualification for National Certified Counselor (NCC)
  • Minimum two (2) years of professional experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups in a professional environment.
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary Human Performance team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to successfully complete required background, security, drug-screening, installation-access, and other contract-related requirements.
