About the Position
We are seeking experienced Mindfulness Coaches to support a comprehensive Human Performance and Holistic Health & Fitness program serving Air Force personnel. The Mindfulness Coach will support cognitive resilience, mindfulness, stress management, mental performance, and overall non-physical aspects of human performance.
The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary Human Performance team and provide practical, mission-focused guidance to personnel operating in high-tempo and demanding environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide mindfulness and mental-performance coaching to individual and group participants.
- Conduct Human Performance evaluations and identify relevant performance and resilience needs.
- Develop and deliver mindfulness and performance-enhancement sessions.
- Support cognitive resilience, stress management, decision-making under stress, and fatigue-management objectives.
- Develop individualized guidance appropriate to different occupational and mission requirements.
- Provide practical techniques that personnel can continue independently when deployed or operating without direct contractor support.
- Participate in unit training and Human Performance activities.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, coaching sessions, participant activities, and outcomes.
- Prepare monthly performance reports and documentation.
- Collaborate with Athletic Trainers and Functional Strength Coaches as part of an integrated Human Performance program.
- Participate in meetings, professional development, training, and program coordination.
- Work effectively in field environments and under changing operational requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology or Counseling.
- Applicable NBCC accreditation/qualification for National Certified Counselor (NCC)
- Minimum two (2) years of professional experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups in a professional environment.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary Human Performance team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to successfully complete required background, security, drug-screening, installation-access, and other contract-related requirements.
